Thanks! It’s just a brief comparison, and I would have liked to go a bit more in-depth, but I also wanted to keep it short and simple. Your videos and online resources are a great inspiration.
I enjoyed video very much. I am a loyal DE shaver and do admit that I proselytize! The only gripe I have with the video is emphasizing the word “natural” to mean better or safer; I do realize that you do also mention “skin-safe products” which was the saving grace IMHO. Hemlock is natural. Water is natural but in large enough doses can kill you (hyperhidrosis). All objects are made of chemical compounds and have safe and fatal dosages. Nice work!
I’m glad you liked the video. I enjoyed making it, and yeah I enjoy all things wet shaving too! I’ve helped several friends get started wet shaving too. I feel like several of the comments (on youtube and sites that reposted my video) have taken the statements too literally; I was trying to give a brief overview of wet shaving vs cartridge shaving, not an in-depth dissertation. In response, I’m going to make a video defining what I consider “wet shaving” to be.
I agree with your point about chemical compounds; my intention was to point out that wet shaving creams and soaps use better ingredients (which I equated with essential oils, shea butter, lanolin, etc.) I personally am not concerned about products with parabens, but I’ve seen many online who are, so that also influenced my decision to say “natural”.
Really, really good video!
